PARK RULES

Visitors and property owners during their stay in the protected area must adhere to certain rules and regulations in order to protect all natural and cultural values that are found within the National Park.

Please for the mutual benefit and interest comply with all the official written rules and warnings listed below.

In Una National Park visitors are not permitted to:

  • throw garbage and cigarette butts outside of the marked places designed for that purpose
  • scribble and damage benches, tables, educational panels and signs for tourists, as well as all the other outdoor equipment
  • move outside of the marked hiking and biking trails and paths
  • destroy fungi as well as to pick them without the approval of the Manager
  • damage trees and other vegetation (plants)
  • shout, make loud noises and play loudmusic - be quite and considerate
  • take pictures for commercial purposes without the permission of the Manager of the P.C. Una National Park LLC. Bihac
  • walk a dog without a leash
  • camp in the Park except in the areas marked and equipped for this purpose
  • stoke the fire in the open air except at the places designed and equipped for this purpose
  • livestock grazing without the approval of the Manager
  • fish in the places that are not designated for fishing activities, as well as to fish without a valid fishing license
  • take firearms or any other weapon suitable for hunting
  • harass and feed the animals
  • destroy birds' nests and take eggs of any kind
  • bring and distribute not autochthonous(non-native) species
  • swim in the places that are not designated for that purpose
  • walk on the travertine barriers and jump off cascades and waterfalls in the Park
  • exertwater and underwater activities in the river Una without a valid ticket or on exert those activities in the parts of the river which are not specified for this purpose
  • exert water and underwater activities in the river Unac and Krka
